Many companies are currently faced with an increasing complexity. This complexity creates uncertainty at all levels of the organization, and a natural reaction of those within the organization is to exercise control in order to secure their basic need for security. However, these subtle or even explicit mechanisms of control make those decision making processes, as well as the implementation of action, much more difficult, the natural flow is lost and the organization faces serious energy loss.
The greater the feeling of uncertainty, the more one engages in problem solving strategies which leaves little or no room for creating opportunities and for the free flow of energy throughout the organization. As a result, the genie is out of the bottle, the organization loses its Soul.
Yet there are organizations and people who are not involved in self-protection strategies, who dare to leave their comfort-zone, and in the words of Collins & Powell in their book “Good to Great”, do not merely want to be ‘good’ but want to be ‘great’. This fundamental leap in consciousness from fear and control to trust and surrender, where the highest potential is put into service, and where people really think in terms of ‘opportunities’ instead of’ problems’, this fundamental collective shift of consciousness really does make the difference to the organization, its employees, its external customers, and the wider society.
Only the companies who integrate this new awareness will maintain the process of change that is required of them. These companies and their people will be leaders, inspired from within, firmly rooted, in touch with their essence, and upright. They will bear fruit in abundance.
Katalpa Business goes hand in hand with this process: starting with senior management, the Management Team and managers at all levels within the organization. As a measure of progress, the energy model is used: is the energy in motion and do we get more energy at each level of the organization while developing our business further.
